Hi, I've got the same problem as this chap. http://forum.magictoolbox.com/index.php/topic,945.0.html
My Magento configurable product has 2 options, age and colour - however I am only interested in switching the image displayed when the colour is selected in the dropdown.
Colour has the attribute code 'color' and the attribute label 'Colour'. I have tried it with both but no luck. Color has many attributes but they include Orange and Red, the two images for this product have labels of 'Orange' and 'Red'.
From the .ini file:
# Name of option associated with images (e.g 'Color') # You should named all product images associated with option values. e.g If option values is 'red', 'blue' and 'white' then you should have 3 images with titles 'red', 'blue' and 'white' option_associated_with_images = Colour
Can't seem to get it to kick in - no switching occurs. I've also tried configuring it for the attribute age (our equivalent of size) with appropriately set ini file and named images and no luck there either. Am I missing something?

Can you please attach your magiczoomplus.settings.ini file and send us a link to your page?

As we can see at the this moment your 'Colour' attribute has no options at all.
Also please check that Select.php (Step 8 from readme_manual.txt) is modified.

Hi Oleksiy,
no idea what your first comment means - regarding your second point I have now implemented the step from the manual, I guess the automatic install does not do this then?

Hi, I mean that Colour dropdown on your page can't be clicked at all. It doesn't have any options.

Hi Simon,
I think the only solution left is for you to send us FTP access details and we'll find and fix the problem.

The problem is: our module only supports products options, not configurable attributes. This is a planned feature but unfortunately not yet available..

Btw, you only change an image, so you can use product options?

Hi Oleksiy, thanks for looking into that, I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case (hence the very clear title - Magento configurable attributes image switching). We are using configurable attributes so that we can control the stock on individual items within the magento product model. Back to the drawing board! Thanks, Simon

Hi Simon,
We will calculate the time needed to modify our module. We'll get back to you soon.

hi Oleksiy,
Sounds interesting. As an aside it would be most flexible if it worked thus:
If the attribute value selected matches the label of an image of that product then it should switch to that image.
As currently the option switching you have in place only allows switching on a single option at a time across the store. For example on a store of ours we have some products with selectable messages, and some with selectable colours, both with associated images. Alternatively an ability to define which attributes to use, highest priority first then descending.

I really need the ability to color switch with configurable products. Simple products are useless for any store that needs to manage inventory of items that come in a range of colours/sizes/etc
When will this functionality be added to your awesome products or has anyone figured out a way to make it work?
