Can someone explain me what means the option_associated_with_images option in the magiczoom.settings.ini?

Can I use this in an color Dropdown and then it changes the main picuture of the product page? And how can i do that?

# Name of option associated with images (e.g 'Color')
# You should named all product images associated with option values. e.g If option values is 'red', 'blue' and 'white' then you should have 3 images with titles 'red', 'blue' and 'white'
option_associated_with_images = color

bye, mille

Yes you can. You should set 'option_associated_with_images' parameter to the name of your color option. After this you should set titles for images. They should be associated with color option values. So if option values are 'red', 'blue' and 'white' then you should have 3 images with titles as 'red', 'blue' and 'white'.

I tried it with an configurable product and 3 simple products. I used the color dropdown with the colors white, red and blue. I uploaded 3 images for the configurable product and i used as label the color name (red,white,blue).

I also tried  to give the simple products one image with the label of the color but nothing happens if i change the color in the dropdown menu.

Is there an instruction which shows me the right way?

greez, mille

You should create simple product instead of configurable. In this product you should add a custom option named 'color' with values: red,white,blue. That should be all.

has anyone found a way to get this working with configurable products?? No magento store uses simple products.. they are useless if you need to manage inventory.
